Sensitivity

Adjust the sensor's detection range from 2m to 16m by turning the reach knob. Turn it fully left for minimum range and fully right for maximum. Set based on location needs.

Time Setting

Choose how long the light stays ON (10 seconds to 12 minutes). Movement restarts the timer. Use the shortest time during setup and walk test for accurate adjustment.

Light Control (LUX) Setting

Set light sensitivity from 2 to 2000 lux. Fully left = night-only mode (2 lux), fully right = day mode. Turn fully right during testing in daylight, then adjust per requirement.

Test Instructions

  1. Turn the LUX knob & SENS knob clockwise on the maximum.
  2. Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (10s).
  3. When powered on, the light turns on immediately, then switches off after about 10 seconds. After that, the sensor operates normally upon detecting motion.
  4. If additional motion is detected during the initial activation, the timer resets and restarts from that moment.
  5. Turn the LUX knob to the minimum (3) for night-only operation. The sensor will activate the light only when ambient light is below 3 LUX.

READY TO TRANSFORM YOUR WARDROBE?

Premium AC Wardrobe Lighting with NOX

NOX is a sleek AC wardrobe sensor designed to automate lighting inside premium wardrobes, cabinets and display units. It turns the light ON the moment the door opens or when you wave your hand, and switches it OFF again when you close or exit. With gesture control and smooth dimming built in, NOX delivers a switch-free, luxury experience for wardrobes and furniture connected directly to mains power.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Applications

Discover how the NOX Wardrobe Sensor brings automatic, contactless lighting to wardrobes, cabinets and display furniture on AC power.

Hinged Wardrobes & Closets

Install NOX along the wardrobe profile or inside the carcass so it tracks the shutter movement. As soon as you open the door, the sensor turns the light ON; when you close it, the light switches OFF automatically—no chance of lights staying ON inside a closed wardrobe.

Sliding Wardrobes & Long Runs

Perfect for large sliding wardrobes and long wardrobe runs. NOX responds to the sliding shutter entering its sensing zone, lighting up the interior only where the door is open and turning lights OFF once the panels are closed again.

Kitchen Tall Units & Overhead Cabinets

Use NOX inside tall units, pantry cabinets and overhead storage connected to AC lighting. Every time the shutter opens, the LED profile switches ON, making items clearly visible; once closed, the sensor cuts power automatically, keeping cabinets neat and efficient.

Display Cabinets, Vanities & Niche Units

Ideal for glass showcases, bar units, vanity mirrors and decorative niches. NOX hides in the profile or carcass, bringing lights ON when the shutter/door opens or on a wave command, and OFF when not in use—creating a boutique-style experience while still saving energy.

More Applications

Slide
Parking Areas

Reliable emergency lighting for underground and multi-level parking facilities, ensuring safety in low-light conditions.

Smart Functionality

Experience AC-powered, contactless wardrobe lighting with NOX’s door activation, wave control and built-in dimming.

Door-Open Function

In door mode, NOX acts as an automatic door sensor for AC wardrobe and cabinet lighting. When the door or shutter opens, it switches the connected light ON instantly. Once the shutter closes fully, it turns the light OFF. This ensures wardrobe and cabinet lights are used only while the space is open, eliminating forgotten lights and unnecessary power draw.

Door closed

With the door fully shut, NOX keeps the light OFF, preventing continuous burning inside the closed furniture.

Door opening / open

The moment the shutter moves into the active zone, the sensor turns the light ON, giving full, uniform illumination inside.

Door closing

After use, closing the door automatically turns the light OFF, resetting the system for the next time you open it.

Wave & Dim Function

Beyond simple door sensing, NOX supports gesture-based operation. A short hand wave in front of the sensor can toggle the light ON/OFF, and holding your hand in the sensing area lets you adjust the brightness. This provides touch-free, elegant control for wardrobes, kitchens and display cabinets using AC lighting.

Wave to toggle

A quick wave in front of NOX turns the light ON or OFF—ideal when you want manual override without touching any switch or handle.

Hold to dim / brighten

Hold your hand in front of the sensor to smoothly dim or brighten the light until it reaches the level you prefer.

Remembers last brightness

Once set, NOX typically recalls the last brightness level so every new activation restores the same lighting mood.

🌓

Switch-Free Experience

NOX eliminates the need for extra wall switches or mechanical door switches. Door-open activation, wave control and dimming are integrated into a compact AC sensor hidden inside the furniture.

🎚️

AC Wardrobe
Ready

Designed for AC-powered wardrobe and cabinet lighting, NOX works seamlessly with suitable LED drivers and fixtures specified for mains operation, simplifying wiring in premium furniture and long wardrobe runs.

⏱️

Stays On While You Use It

As long as the door is open—or you have toggled the light ON with a wave—NOX keeps the light active. Once the shutter closes or you switch it OFF, the sensor cuts power automatically.

Energy Smart by Design

Because NOX is driven by door position and gestures, the light never stays ON unintentionally inside closed cabinets. This significantly reduces wasted power while delivering a very premium user experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about NOX

What is NOX Wardrobe Sensor?

NOX is an AC wardrobe sensor designed to control lighting inside wardrobes, cabinets and display units. It turns lights ON automatically when the door opens or on a wave gesture, and switches them OFF when the shutter closes or you toggle them OFF, providing a hands-free, premium experience.

What type of lights can NOX control?

NOX is intended for wardrobe and cabinet lighting connected to AC mains via suitable LED drivers or fixtures, as specified in its technical data sheet. It does not include any inbuilt light source. Always ensure the connected load and driver match the ratings and wiring instructions for NOX.

How does NOX detect the door opening?

NOX is positioned so that the moving shutter enters its sensing zone as it opens. When the door opens, the sensor detects this and turns the light ON; when the door moves back to the closed position, it turns the light OFF. No separate magnetic or mechanical switches are required.

Does NOX support gesture dimming?

Yes. NOX supports gesture-based dimming when used with compatible lighting drivers. A short wave toggles the light ON/OFF, and holding your hand in front of the sensor adjusts brightness smoothly, giving you finer control over wardrobe and cabinet lighting.

Where can NOX be used?

NOX is ideal for AC-powered wardrobes and closets, kitchen tall units, crockery and bar cabinets, bathroom mirror cabinets, vanity units, and decorative display cabinets or niches that require contactless, localized lighting control.

Is NOX a safety or security device?

No. NOX is designed purely for convenience and energy-efficient lighting control inside furniture. It is not intended to function as a safety, alarm or security device and should not be used for that purpose.
