Sensitivity

Reach is the term used to describe the diameter of the more or less circular detection zone produced on the ground after mounting the sensor at a height of 2.5 to m. Turn the reach control fully anti-clockwise to select minimum reach(approx. 2m dia), and fully clockwise to select maximum reach(approx. 16m dia). Adjust according to locations and site requirements.

Time Setting

The light can be set to stay ON for any period of time between approx. 10sec(turn fully anticlockwise) and a maximum of 12min(turn fully clockwise). Any movement detected before this time elapse will re-start the timer. It is recommended to select the shortest time for adjusting the detection zone and for performing the walk test.

Light Control (LUX) Setting

The chosen light response threshold can be adjusted from approx. 2-2000 lux. Turn it fully anti-clockwise to select dusk-to-dawn operation at about 2 lux. Turn it fully clockwise to select continuous daylight operation. The knob must be turned fully clockwise when adjusting the detection zone and performing the walk test in daylight, then adjust setting according to site requirement.

Test Instructions

  1. Turn the LUX knob clockwise on the maximum (sun). Turn the SENS knob clockwise on maximum (+). Turn the TIME
knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (10s).
  2. When you switch on the power, the light will be on at once. And 10sect3sec later the light will be off automatically.
  3. Then if the sensor receives induction signal again, it can work normally.
  4. When the sensor receives the second induction signals within the first induction, it will restart to time from the
    moment.
  5. Turn the LUX knob to the minimum (3) for night-only operation. The sensor will activate the light only when ambient light is below 3 LUX.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Applications

Discover how the NANO W12 Microwave Motion Sensor transforms lighting control across diverse environments with superior detection and energy efficiency

Corridors

Maintain bright, safe corridors only while they are in use. Nano W12 detects people entering the passage and ensures continuous light until the area is empty, improving safety and reducing unnecessary burning hours.

Staircases

Eliminate dark stairwells without keeping the lights on 24/7. Nano W12 switches lighting ON as soon as motion is detected on the stairs and turns it OFF after the configured hold time.

Basement Access & Parking Entries

Ideal for wall-mounted positions at basement approaches and parking entrances where natural light is limited. The sensor activates lighting for vehicles and pedestrians and automatically switches it off once movement stops.

Underpasses & Walkways

Increase comfort and visibility in underpasses, ramps and enclosed walkways. Nano W12 offers stable microwave sensing that responds quickly to approaching users, even in low-light environments.

More Applications

Slide
Parking Areas

Reliable emergency lighting for underground and multi-level parking facilities, ensuring safety in low-light conditions.

Smart Functionality

Experience intuitive control with Nano W12's advanced features designed for modern living

Daylight Function

In Daylight mode, Nano W12 only turns lights ON when both conditions are met: motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the set lux threshold. This prevents lights from switching on unnecessarily in naturally bright spaces such as corridors with windows or staircases with skylights

Sufficient daylight

When there is enough natural light, the sensor keeps the light OFF even if motion is detected.

Low daylight with motion

When the ambient light falls below the set level and the sensor detects movement, the light switches ON automatically.

After people leave

Once motion stops, the light remains ON for the selected hold time and then switches OFF automatically.

No Daylight Function

In No Daylight mode, Nano W12 ignores the ambient light level and responds purely to motion. This mode is ideal for consistently dim or enclosed areas such as internal corridors, basement approaches, and underpasses where lights must always come on whenever movement is detected.

Motion detected

As soon as a person enters the detection zone, the sensor switches the light ON to full brightness.

Area still occupied

As long as motion continues, the light stays ON, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

No motion detected

After the last detection and expiry of the configured hold time, the light turns OFF automatically

🌓

Knows Sun from Moon

Nano W12 can differentiate between day and night using its built-in light sensing. It automatically adjusts operation based on ambient lux levels, ensuring lights are used only when they’re actually needed

🎚️

Dial-in Distance

Set the detection range to suit the space. Nano W12 allows fine adjustment of sensitivity so that motion is detected only within the desired area, helping avoid false triggers from adjacent zones.

⏱️

Stays On When Busy

Smart re-triggering means the timer resets whenever new motion is detected. Lights remain ON continuously while people are present, providing uninterrupted illumination during peak activity

You Set the Timeout

Choose how long the lights stay ON after the last detection. The adjustable hold time lets you match sensor behaviour to the application, from quick shut-off for short passages to longer delays for high-traffic areas.
